Linkin Park has posted the trailer of their Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen theme, titled “New Divide“. The song will have a worldwide radio premiere on 18th May 2009. The movie hits the theatres on 24th June 2009.

From Blabbermouth: The opportunity to be creatively involved with one of the most anticipated films of the summer is pretty exciting,” says LINKIN PARK co-vocalist Mike Shinoda. “It’s one thing to shoot a video that matches sound and vision, but making music that’s built for the big screen is a completely different challenge and we ran with it.”

“I love LINKIN PARK,” says director/executive producer Michael Bay. “This is the second film we’ve worked on together and the fact that they’re huge ‘Transformers’ fans makes it all the better. They really delivered with ‘New Divide’ — it’s a great song that perfectly matches the film’s intensity.“

Ah, all the hype about the new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie :D . The first part was amazing. The trailors for the second are awesome and to add to that, the theme music of the sequel is being written by Linkin Park! Not just theme song, but also, parts of the movie score ;) The new song is called ‘New Divide‘ and will be premiering on the 18th of May 2009. I will also be available for download via iTunes on the same day.
